Description

These Ground Beef Tacos are quick, flavorful, and perfect for a weeknight dinner. Juicy seasoned beef tucked into crispy taco shells and topped with your favorite fixings!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce or salsa
  • 8 taco shells
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sour cream (optional)
  • Chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add tomato sauce or salsa and simmer for 5 minutes to combine flavors.
  5. Warm taco shells according to package directions.
  6. Spoon beef mixture into taco shells.
  7. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and cilantro as desired.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

You can use soft tortillas instead of hard shells. Add avocado or jalapeños for extra flavor.
