- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook ground turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Cook 1 minute.
- Add beans, crushed tomatoes, and chicken broth. Stir well.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasonings. Serve hot with toppings like cheese, sour cream, or green onions.
Notes
For thicker chili, simmer longer uncovered; for spicier chili, add extra cayenne or jalapeños.
