Description

A hearty and comforting lasagna made with ground turkey, layers of rich tomato sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 box lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add ground turkey, season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Cook until browned.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of sauce, then layer noodles, ricotta, turkey sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat layers until dish is full, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can prepare the lasagna ahead of time and refrigerate before baking. For extra richness, add a layer of spinach or zucchini.
