Description

Healthy and flavorful ground turkey filling served inside crisp lettuce leaves, perfect for a light lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 1 head butter lettuce, leaves separated
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and ginger, cook until fragrant.
  3. Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar.
  5. Add water chestnuts and green onions, cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Spoon turkey mixture into lettuce leaves and serve immediately.

Notes

For spice, add a drizzle of sriracha or sprinkle of red pepper flakes.
