Description

These Ground Turkey Pinwheels are savory, cheesy, and perfect as a fun appetizer, snack, or even a light meal. Easy to make, kid-friendly, and deliciously satisfying.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (or pizza dough)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground turkey, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until fully browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks.
  4. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  5. Roll out crescent dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Spread the cooked turkey mixture evenly over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Carefully roll the dough into a log, then slice into 1-inch pinwheels.
  9. Place pinwheels on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a layer of marinara sauce before rolling the dough, or serve pinwheels with a dipping sauce like ranch or marinara.
