Description
A lighter version of the classic shepherd’s pie, made with ground turkey, vegetables, and creamy mashed potatoes baked until golden.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground turkey with onion and garlic until browned. Drain if needed.
- Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, vegetables, and chicken broth. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- In a separate pot, boil potatoes until tender. Mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Spread turkey mixture in a greased baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Add shredded cheddar cheese on top of the potatoes for an extra cheesy twist.
