- 20 large white mushrooms
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean mushrooms and remove stems. Chop stems finely and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion, garlic, and chopped mushroom stems until softened.
- Add ground turkey and cook until browned.
- Stir in breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the turkey mixture and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until mushrooms are tender and tops are golden.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
Notes
You can add shredded mozzarella or spinach to the stuffing for extra flavor and texture.
