Description

A quick, healthy, and flavorful ground turkey teriyaki dish perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar.
  5. Pour sauce into skillet and stir to coat the turkey.
  6. Add cornstarch slurry and simmer until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in green onions.
  8. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra vegetables, add bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas while cooking the turkey.
