Description

Tender zucchini halves filled with a savory ground turkey mixture, topped with melted cheese for a healthy and delicious meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium zucchinis
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut zucchinis in half lengthwise and scoop out the centers.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet, add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  4. Add ground turkey, cook until browned.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes.
  6. Place zucchini halves on a baking dish, fill with turkey mixture.
  7. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes until zucchini is tender and cheese is melted.

Notes

You can add chopped vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to the filling for extra flavor.
