Description

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (Optional)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste (Optional)
  • 2 pounds extra lean ground beef
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (12 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 (3.5 ounce) package sliced pepperoni, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef with eggs, Parmesan, and all seasonings until well combined.
  3. Press the beef mixture onto the prepared baking sheet into a 12-inch circle, about 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Bake the crust for 15 minutes until firm and lightly browned.
  5. Remove from oven, spread tomato sauce evenly over the crust.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella and arrange pepperoni slices.
  7. Return to oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Tip: For crispier crust, bake on a preheated pizza stone. Substitution: Turkey or chicken can replace beef. Storage: Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.
