- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds (Optional)
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to taste (Optional)
- 2 pounds extra lean ground beef
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (12 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 (3.5 ounce) package sliced pepperoni, or to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef with eggs, Parmesan, and all seasonings until well combined.
- Press the beef mixture onto the prepared baking sheet into a 12-inch circle, about 1/4-inch thick.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes until firm and lightly browned.
- Remove from oven, spread tomato sauce evenly over the crust.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and arrange pepperoni slices.
- Return to oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Tip: For crispier crust, bake on a preheated pizza stone. Substitution: Turkey or chicken can replace beef. Storage: Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.
