Description

A bold and fiery homemade habanero hot sauce, perfect for adding serious heat and flavor to any dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 fresh habanero peppers
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 120ml white vinegar
  • 120ml water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Wash and remove the stems from the habanero peppers.
  2. Peel the garlic cloves.
  3. Add the peppers, garlic, water, and vinegar to a saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a blender.
  7. Add the salt, sugar, and lemon juice.
  8. Blend until smooth.
  9. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  10. Pour into a sterilized bottle.

Notes

Wear gloves when handling habanero peppers. Store the sauce in the refrigerator for several weeks.
