- 1 package (12‑pack) dinner rolls (Kings Hawaiian, 14‑18 slices Black Forest ham lunchmeat, about 200 g / ½ lb)
- 1 can pineapple tidbits, drained
- 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 1 tbsp mustard (or Dijon)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice dinner rolls horizontally, leaving a hinge.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, mustard, brown sugar, and garlic powder; brush mixture onto the inside of each roll.
- Layer ham and pineapple tidbits on the bottom half of each roll, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly.
- Close the rolls and place them on a baking sheet; bake for 12‑15 minutes, until cheese is melted and lightly golden.
- Serve warm, optionally with extra pineapple or a drizzle of honey.
Notes
Tip: Use Hawaiian sweet rolls for extra sweetness. Substitute turkey ham if preferred. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
