Description
Indulge in the creamy, velvety taste of homemade Baileys Irish Cream, a classic liqueur that blends smooth Irish whiskey with rich chocolate, coffee, and a hint of vanilla. Perfect for sipping, drizzling over desserts, or adding a boozy twist to your favorite drinks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1⅔ cups (393 ml) Jameson Irish whiskey
- 1 cup (238 ml) half & half or heavy cream
- 14 ounce (396.9 ml) canned sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee
Instructions
- Combine whiskey, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate syrup, vanilla extract, and instant coffee in a large bowl; whisk until smooth.
- In a separate container, gently warm the half & half or heavy cream (do not boil) and slowly pour it into the whiskey mixture, stirring constantly.
- Continue to whisk the mixture until fully blended and slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
- Transfer the Baileys Irish Cream to a clean bottle or jar, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled as a standalone drink, over ice, or use as a decadent topping for desserts like pie, brownies, or coffee.
Notes
Tip: For a non‑alcoholic version, replace the whiskey with additional cream and a splash of vanilla. Substitute condensed milk with coconut cream for a dairy‑free twist. Keeps well refrigerated for up to 2 weeks; always store in a sealed container.
