Homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Description

A cozy and sweet syrup, perfect for fall drinks and desserts with warm pumpkin spice flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 (heaping) cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp. pumpkin spice
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, pumpkin puree, water, and pumpkin spice.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth and begins to simmer.
  3. Reduce heat and let it simmer gently for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Let cool, then transfer to a jar or bottle.
  6. Store in the refrigerator and shake before each use.

Notes

Use in coffee, lattes, or over pancakes and waffles. Shake well before using as it may settle.
