- 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix honey, brown sugar, eggs, and oil until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Slowly stir in the warm water or tea until fully combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before removing from the pan and serving.
Notes
This cake tastes even better the next day as the spices deepen in flavor. Store covered at room temperature.
