Description

Juicy turkey meatballs tossed in a sweet and savory honey teriyaki sauce, perfect for serving over rice, noodles, or as an appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, green onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape into small meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  5. While meatballs bake, make the sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  6. Whisk in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
  7. Toss cooked meatballs in the sauce until evenly coated.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

These meatballs can be meal-prepped ahead of time. Serve with steamed rice and stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
