Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 tablespoons hot honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small cucumber, sliced
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together hot honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar.
  5. Pour sauce into the skillet and stir to coat the beef evenly.
  6. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Divide cooked rice into bowls and top with the hot honey beef.
  9. Add cucumber slices, shredded carrots, and chopped green onions.
  10. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Adjust the spice by adding chili flakes or sriracha. For a lighter option, serve over cauliflower rice or lettuce cups.
