- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hot honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or jasmine)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in onion and garlic, cooking for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add broccoli and bell pepper, sauté until tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hot honey, and rice vinegar.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet, stir to coat the turkey and vegetables, and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Serve over bowls of cooked rice.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili flakes. These bowls can also be made with quinoa or cauliflower rice for a lighter option.
