- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- Brush the chicken thighs with olive oil on all sides.
- Season evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, and onion powder.
- Place the chicken thighs skin-side down on the grill.
- Grill for 6–8 minutes until the skin is crispy and well-marked.
- Flip the chicken thighs and continue grilling for 12–15 minutes.
- Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Letting the chicken rest after grilling helps keep the meat juicy. Adjust grill heat as needed to avoid flare-ups.
