Instant Pot Korean Ground Beef is a quick, flavorful weeknight meal made with ground beef, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Served over rice and ready in under 30 minutes, it’s a delicious twist on Korean BBQ flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Cooked white rice, for serving
Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode. Add ground beef and onion, cooking until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes (if using), and water. Pour over the beef mixture and stir.
- Cancel sauté mode. Close lid, set valve to sealing, and cook on Manual High Pressure for 5 minutes.
- Quick release the pressure. Stir in green onions.
- Serve hot over white rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Notes
You can double the sauce if serving over noodles or if you prefer extra moisture. Swap beef for ground turkey for a lighter version.
