This Instant Pot pumpkin purée is the easiest way to make smooth, fresh pumpkin for pies, soups, and more.
Ingredients

- 1 (2 lb) sugar pumpkin
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Cut the sugar pumpkin in half and remove seeds and stringy pulp.
- Place the trivet in the Instant Pot and add 1 cup of water.
- Set the pumpkin halves on the trivet, skin-side up.
- Seal the lid and set to manual high pressure for 13 minutes.
- Let pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release the rest.
- Remove pumpkin and let cool slightly, then scoop out the flesh.
- Blend until smooth for a silky purée.
Notes
Use the purée immediately or store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freezer for 3 months.
