Description

This Instant Pot pumpkin purée is the easiest way to make smooth, fresh pumpkin for pies, soups, and more.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (2 lb) sugar pumpkin
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Cut the sugar pumpkin in half and remove seeds and stringy pulp.
  2. Place the trivet in the Instant Pot and add 1 cup of water.
  3. Set the pumpkin halves on the trivet, skin-side up.
  4. Seal the lid and set to manual high pressure for 13 minutes.
  5. Let pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release the rest.
  6. Remove pumpkin and let cool slightly, then scoop out the flesh.
  7. Blend until smooth for a silky purée.

Notes

Use the purée immediately or store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freezer for 3 months.
