Description

A quick and flavorful Korean-inspired ground beef bowl with sweet, savory, and spicy flavors served over rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to let flavors combine.
  5. Serve beef over warm white rice.
  6. Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Adjust spice by adding more or less red pepper flakes. Works great with brown rice or cauliflower rice.
