Description

A quick and flavorful Korean-inspired ground turkey stir-fry served over rice, seasoned with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil for a delicious and healthy weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Optional: steamed broccoli or carrots for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and rice vinegar, stirring well to coat the turkey.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes to let flavors combine.
  6. Serve the seasoned ground turkey over cooked white rice.
  7. Top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Optional: serve with steamed broccoli or carrots on the side.

Notes

Adjust soy sauce and sugar to taste. This dish also works well with ground chicken or beef.
