Description

Juicy turkey meatballs glazed with a sweet and tangy maple mustard sauce, perfect as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until just combined and form into small meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs on prepared baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, until fully cooked.
  5. Meanwhile, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan.
  6. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Toss cooked meatballs in the maple mustard sauce until coated.
  8. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice for a meal.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like parsley or thyme to the meatball mixture. These also work well made ahead and reheated in the sauce.
