- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, ricotta cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a lightly greased baking dish.
- Spread ketchup evenly over the top of the loaf.
- Bake for 45β55 minutes, or until fully cooked through.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, mix a little Worcestershire sauce into the meat mixture. Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
