Description

Juicy Mediterranean turkey burgers loaded with herbs and spices, served with refreshing homemade tzatziki sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices (for topping)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for tzatziki)
  • Salt to taste (for tzatziki)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, red onion, garlic, parsley, feta, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Shape into 4 patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  4. Meanwhile, make tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, dill, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt in a bowl. Chill until ready to serve.
  5. Toast burger buns lightly.
  6. Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, turkey patty, and a generous spoonful of tzatziki.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best flavor, refrigerate tzatziki for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to blend.
