Description
A hearty and flavorful classic meatloaf, tender on the inside with a savory glaze on top.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Glaze: 1/2 cup ketchup, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let soak for 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef, eggs, onion, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, thyme, paprika, and parsley. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet or loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard for the glaze.
- Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes, then spread the remaining glaze on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for another 15–20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, try mixing half beef and half ground pork. Leftovers make great sandwiches.
