Description

This Million Dollar Meatloaf is tender, juicy, and filled with rich flavor thanks to a cheesy cream cheese center and a savory glaze topping.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, milk, parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
  3. On a sheet of parchment paper, shape half the meat mixture into a loaf base.
  4. Spread softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar over the top, keeping it away from the edges.
  5. Cover with the remaining meat mixture and seal the edges well to enclose the cheese.
  6. Transfer loaf to a baking dish.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread over the top of the meatloaf.
  8. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160Β°F (70Β°C).
  9. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, use freshly shredded cheese. Leftovers reheat well and can be used for sandwiches.
