Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground chicken or pork
- 1 cup sliced cabbage
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 sliced carrot
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 package frozen dumplings
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned.
- Stir in garlic, ginger, cabbage, mushrooms, and carrots.
- Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
- Pour in chicken broth and stir to combine.
- Arrange frozen dumplings on top of the mixture.
- Cover and cook for 8–10 minutes, allowing dumplings to steam.
- Remove lid and cook an additional 3 minutes to lightly crisp dumpling bottoms.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot straight from the pan.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a drizzle of chili oil before serving. Any protein works well—try tofu for a vegetarian version.
