Description

A cozy, flavorful one-pan dumpling dinner loaded with tender veggies, savory broth, and soft pan-steamed dumplings.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground chicken or pork
  • 1 cup sliced cabbage
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 sliced carrot
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 package frozen dumplings
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add ground meat and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in garlic, ginger, cabbage, mushrooms, and carrots.
  4. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and stir to combine.
  6. Arrange frozen dumplings on top of the mixture.
  7. Cover and cook for 8–10 minutes, allowing dumplings to steam.
  8. Remove lid and cook an additional 3 minutes to lightly crisp dumpling bottoms.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  10. Serve hot straight from the pan.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a drizzle of chili oil before serving. Any protein works well—try tofu for a vegetarian version.
