Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, 150–180g / 5–6 oz each
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or thyme
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Finely chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pound chicken to even thickness if needed.
  3. Mix brown sugar, paprika, oregano/thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Pat chicken dry, rub with olive oil, then coat with seasoning mix.
  5. Place on a baking tray and bake for 18–20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove from oven and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness. Resting the chicken keeps it juicy.
