- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup salted butter, melted
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, pour in the peach pie filling.
- Stir in vanilla extract and sprinkle cinnamon over the filling.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peach mixture.
- Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
Notes
Make sure not to stir the cake mix into the peaches – this gives the dump cake its signature texture. Try with other pie fillings like cherry or apple for fun variations!
