Description
These heart-shaped puff pastry cookies are the perfect sweet treat for Valentine’s Day! Crispy layers of buttery pastry filled with gooey caramel and crunchy almonds or coconut. Easy to make yet impressive enough to win hearts!

- 1/2 of a 17.3-ounce package Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Sheets (1 sheet), thawed
- 3 tablespoons prepared caramel topping
- 3 tablespoons blanched sliced almonds or shredded sweetened coconut
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unfold puff pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Roll to 10×10 inch square.
- Cut out heart shapes using 3-inch cookie cutter. Transfer half the hearts to baking sheet.
- Spoon ½ teaspoon caramel in center of each heart. Top with almonds or coconut.
- Place remaining heart cutouts over filled hearts. Press edges with fork to seal.
- Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Cool on wire rack before serving.
Notes
Tips: Chill pastry 10 minutes for cleaner cuts. Substitutions: Use chocolate spread instead of caramel. Storage: Keep airtight at room temperature for 3 days.
