Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 medium bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together vegetable oil, sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. Stir in mashed bananas and pumpkin puree until smooth.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in chopped walnuts if using.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

This bread stays moist for days and tastes even better the next day. For extra flavor, toast the walnuts before adding them.
