  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup pasta sauce
  • 1 cup uncooked pasta
  • 1 cup water or broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef or sausage over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, pasta sauce, uncooked pasta, and water or broth.
  4. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover and simmer for 12โ€“15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella on top and cover until melted.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
