Instructions

- In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, food coloring, and vanilla.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until fully combined.
- Roll tablespoon-sized dough balls in powdered sugar until heavily coated.
- Place dough balls 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake 10-12 minutes until cookies spread and crackle surface forms.
- Cool on baking sheets 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
