Description

A savory and rich quiche made with tender salmon and vibrant Swiss chard, perfect for brunch or a light dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of pie crust
  • 200g fresh salmon, cooked and flaked
  • 150g Swiss chard, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 eggs
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 100g grated cheese (Gruyère or cheddar)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out and place the pie crust in a tart pan, prick the base with a fork, and pre-bake for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion until translucent.
  4. Add Swiss chard and cook until wilted. Set aside to cool.
  5. In a bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the cream, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spread the salmon and sautéed chard over the pre-baked crust.
  7. Pour the egg and cream mixture on top and sprinkle with grated cheese.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes until the quiche is golden and set.
  9. Let it rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can use smoked salmon for extra flavor. Serve warm or at room temperature with a side salad.
