  • 4 salmon fillets (skinless)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup capers, drained
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then lightly dredge in flour, shaking off excess.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add salmon and sear for 4-5 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits.
  5. Add capers and simmer sauce for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  6. Return salmon to the skillet, spoon sauce over the fillets, and simmer for 2 more minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and garnish with lemon slices before serving.

Notes

Serve with pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables. Adjust lemon to taste if you prefer a milder tang.
