Description

A creamy and savory salmon quiche, baked with tender salmon chunks, cheese, and herbs in a flaky crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 ready-made pie crust
  • 200g cooked salmon (flaked)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 100ml milk
  • 100g grated cheese (Gruyère or cheddar)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill or parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Place the pie crust in a tart pan and prick the base with a fork.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until soft.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add flaked salmon, sautéed onion, grated cheese, and herbs into the egg mixture.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared crust.
  7. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes until golden and set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can substitute salmon with smoked salmon for a richer flavor. Serve with a fresh green salad.
