Instructions
- In a large pot, combine chicken stock and ham hock; bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes to infuse flavor.
- Add shredded cabbage and thinly sliced potatoes; continue simmering until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, and stir in cream or milk if using for extra richness.

Notes
