Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb large or jumbo shrimp, raw, peeled, and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/3 cup dry white wine (like Sauvignon Blanc) or chicken broth

- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and cook 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Pour in the white wine or chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
- Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Stir in remaining butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
Notes
Use fresh garlic and lemon for the best flavor. Thaw frozen shrimp completely and pat dry to avoid excess moisture in the pan.
