Description

Ingredients

  • 300g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 150g egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 liter chicken or seafood broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger and sautƩ until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Add soy sauce, fish sauce, and black pepper.
  5. Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions.
  6. Add the shrimp and simmer for 2–3 minutes until pink and cooked through.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Ladle the soup into bowls.
  9. Garnish with green onions and cilantro before serving.

Notes

Do not overcook the shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
