- 1 kg mixed dried fruit
- 600 ml chocolate milk
- 2 cups self-raising flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F) and line a cake tin with baking paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the dried fruit and chocolate milk. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for at least 8 hours.
- After soaking, stir in the self-raising flour until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and smooth the top.
- Bake for 2 to 2.5 hours or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely in the tin before removing and slicing.
Notes
Store in an airtight container. You can also add spices or a splash of brandy for extra flavor.
