Description

Tender and flavorful bone-in chicken breasts slow cooked with a savory blend of spices.


Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 bone-in chicken breasts (approximately 2 1/2 to 3 pounds total)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or water)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons butter, optional
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt (or more)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth (or water).
  3. Drizzle oil over the chicken.
  4. Dot with butter if using.
  5. Sprinkle with oregano, smoked paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of sides.

Notes

You can sear the chicken breasts before placing in the slow cooker for added flavor.
