- 2 lbs chicken drumsticks (about 8 pieces)
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken drumsticks in the slow cooker.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and toss to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Optional: Transfer drumsticks to a baking sheet and broil for 2–3 minutes to crisp the skin.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
You can swap barbecue sauce for buffalo or teriyaki for different flavor profiles. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables.
