Ingredients

- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, 1/2 cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread over the top of the meatloaf.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, sauté the onion and garlic before mixing into the meatloaf. Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
