Description

A creamy and flavorful smoked salmon pesto pasta, perfectly balanced with garlic, lemon, and fresh herbs for a quick gourmet meal.


Ingredients

  • 250g pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 150g smoked salmon, sliced
  • 3 tbsp green pesto
  • 150ml heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add pesto and heavy cream, stirring to combine into a smooth sauce.
  4. Stir in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Add a splash of pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  6. Fold in the smoked salmon gently to warm it through without overcooking.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs and Parmesan if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, replace cream with Greek yogurt. Use whole-grain or gluten-free pasta if preferred.
