These Soft Thanksgiving Dinner Rolls are light, fluffy, buttery, and the perfect addition to your holiday feast.
Ingredients

- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 3 1/2 – 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the remaining sugar, butter, salt, egg, and yeast mixture.
- Add flour one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide into 12–15 equal pieces. Shape each into a ball and place in a greased baking pan.
- Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes until puffy.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.
- Brush warm rolls with melted butter before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, brush the tops with garlic butter or sprinkle with flaky sea salt after baking.
