Ingredients

- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste.
- Season with basil, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Reduce heat and let the sauce simmer for 25–30 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over cooked spaghetti.
