These spooky Spider Cookies are a fun and festive Halloween treat made with peanut butter cookies, chocolate truffles, and candy eyes.

- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 24 chocolate truffles (like Lindt)
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 48 candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to the wet ingredients.
- Roll dough into balls and place on baking sheet. Flatten slightly with your hand.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and immediately press a chocolate truffle into the center of each cookie.
- Allow cookies to cool completely.
- Using melted chocolate, pipe legs around each truffle to create a spider effect.
- Attach candy eyes with a dab of melted chocolate.
Notes
For best results, let the cookies cool fully before adding legs and eyes so the decorations stick properly.
