Description

Rich and chocolatey fudge muffins decorated with spooky spider webs, a fun and festive treat for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate, melted (for webs)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Divide batter evenly into muffin cups.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely before decorating.
  9. Pipe circles of melted white chocolate on top of each muffin and drag a toothpick from center outward to create a spider web effect.

Notes

You can use royal icing instead of white chocolate for sharper spider web designs.
